Ans. Pullela Gopichand won the All England Open Badminton Championship in 2001. Sindhu was just eight years old then. She used to play volleyball. Gopichand's victory in England inspired her to play badminton instead of volleyball. So at the age of eight she started playing badminton.
(2) What were Sindhu's achievements till she was 14 years old?
Ans. Sindhu's first major achievement came in the form of the 5th Servo All India ranking Championship for 'under-10' category. She also won the singles title at the Ambuja Cement All India ranking. She also won doubles titles at the IOC All India Ranking, Krishna Khaitan All India Tournament, the Sub-Junior Nationals and the All India Ranking when she was under-13 category. Ans. I think, every team of players need a coach/trainer because coach/trainer only can guide them properly when they go wrong with their game. The coach helps them to maintain discipline and gives them practical training of the game on the ground, under his/her supervision. He tells their mistakes, flaws ( error -दोष) and corrects them.
